Sophie came into my life at a time when I had only been taking responsibility for myself I wasn't the best at it at first, still resisting the responsibility. She was devoted, independent, and madly stubborn. Funny how our dogs replicate our pathology, or is it the other way around? She was my first love; she instilled me the true love serum. She showed me how my heart was able to expand. It took her seventeen years to teach me love and patience.
