JOEY
Joey was only six weeks old and in the hands of a homeless man in Miami Beach who was selling him on the street corner. I bought Joey for $45.00 and when I gently set Joey down to look at him he was so weak he collapsed from exhaustion. I brought him back to my condo and spent the next two hours picking fleas off him in the bath. I wondered if he would make it through the night. He woke up happy and healthy and has been my steady companion for ten years.
