We spotted Adelaide at the Amanda Shelter, staring out with those big wet, seemingly innocent eyes, red, bloodshot-hungover? We named her for the loose-living, nasally congested congested shrine in Guys and Dolls. She lived only for her own pleasure. This strong-minded, stubborn voluptuary made the world her personal playground and or home her domain of diva hood. During her reign from 1994-2008, we were her willing, loving subjects, living to serve her whims and fearing the howls of her displeasure.
