A pure bred Dachshund, was rescued by Madeleine Pickens. Tommy was an unfortunate product of a puppy mill in Tennessee. He was thrown away in a dumpster and left for dead, but was thankfully rescued by a Dachshund rescue group who heard the puppy barking. Mrs Pickens was online one night looking for dogs who needed a good home, and stumbled across the unusual looking ‘Weiner dog,” and she knew the he was the dog for her. Tommy now lives in the lap of luxury and as Mrs Pickens’ sidekick, travels everywhere with her.
